Wrestling is one of those unique sports that is a team sport which places special emphasis on individual accomplishment and achievement. In wrestling, there are no excuses and EVERYTHING IS EARNED. Two guys step on the mat, each with a dream or vision of winning; only one will leave the mat capturing their dream. One will have their dream taken by the other wrestler.
Winning starts NOW! The team has a new head coach. Coach Ketler is going to build on the great foundation that he has been given. Coach Ketler has a strong wrestling background as a wrestler himself from Pennsylvania and while in the Military. He is also the head coach for a new wrestling club in the Wesley Chapel area.
Wrestling is the fastest growing sport for girls and women in the U.S.A. at the high school and collegiate levels. Wrestling has seen nearly a 10,000% increase in female participation in the last 10 years. The fast rise in popularity is attributed to female empowerment, women taking leadership roles in all aspects in our society to include in sports like MMA with Super Stars like Rhonda Rousey and Cris Cyborg. Even the U.S. Olympic Team saw their first female gold medal Olympic Champions in wrestling in Helen Maroulis and Adeline Gray.
The Wiregrass Ranch High School wrestling team is associated with the American Warrior Wrestling Club.
