Wiregrass Ranch offers varsity, junior varsity, and girls wrestling programs. The teams are lead and coached by Head Coach J. Edward Ketler. Coach K has hand picked his assistants with paid and volunteer coaches. His coaching staff consists of some of the most talented coaches coaches and former wrestlers in the area. He is assisted by Coach Kelly DeCurtis and former WRHS grapplers John "Tank" Villegas, Justin Aponte, Brandon Storm, and Leo Lopez.
Wiregrass Ranch is located in Wesley Chapel, Pasco County. It is located just across the Hillsborough County border from New Tampa and is generally considered to be within the "Tampa Bay" area. Schools within the County are Wesley Chapel, Cypress Creek, Pasco High, River Ridge, Fivay, Land O' Lakes, SunLake, Hudson, Anclote, Mitchell, Gulf, Zephyrhills High, Wiregrass Ranch and Zephyrhills Christian Academy. The six high schools in the Sunshine Athletic Conference are: Cypress Creek, Land O Lakes, Pasco, Sun Lake, Wesley Chapel, Wiregrass Ranch and Zephyrhills.
Wrestling is one of those unique sports that is a team sport which places special emphasis on individual accomplishment and achievement. In wrestling, there are no excuses and EVERYTHING IS EARNED. Two guys step on the mat, each with a dream or vision of winning; only one will leave the mat capturing their dream. One will have their dream taken by the other wrestler.

Winning starts NOW! The team has a new head coach. Coach Ketler is going to build on the great foundation that he has been given. Coach Ketler has a strong wrestling background as a wrestler himself from Pennsylvania and while in the Military. He is also the head coach for a new wrestling club in the Wesley Chapel area.

Even the U.S. Olympic Team saw their first female gold medal Olympic Champions in wrestling in Helen Maroulis and Adeline Gray.

American Warrior Wrestling club is a feeder wrestling club that supports the wrestling programs for the Wesley Chapel High Schools, New Tampa High Schools, Lutz, Land O Lakes and other surrounding areas. American Warrior Wrestling offers wrestling training, conditioning, nutrition and strength training for boys and girls between the ages of 4 through 19.

We will soon be getting our 2020-2021 season started. This year will be unlike any of season any of us have ever experienced before as we take into consideration the current effects of the CV19 virus on our sport. All of our coaches are trained and prepared to move forward in the "new environment" in the safest way possible to ensure the safety of all athletes, coaches, staff, family and friends. Safety is our #1 priority!
Time to get your paperwork in! All athletes M U S T have their FHSAA EL2 (Physical) and EL 3 (Consent/Waiver) forms as well as their Pasco County Athletic Participation forms AND the Pasco County Covid Waiver submitted PRIOR to being able to participate in ANY activities with the wrestling team. So that means get your paperwork in ASAP!
